Job description

Are you following a training course to become a garden entrepreneur at IFAPME, CEFA or EFP, and are you looking for an internship tutor who will really train you?

At Vert Val, we take training seriously. Not because we tick a box, but because a well-supervised intern becomes an excellent gardener — and often a future colleague.

We are looking for an intern in traininggarden entrepreneur, landscape gardenerorhorticulture, motivated to learn a real trade on the ground — not to spend six months pushing a wheelbarrow in silence.

What you will do during your internship

On our sites in Walloon Brabant and Brussels, you will get involved in everything that enriches the profession of garden entrepreneur:

    • Landscaping: soil preparation, planting trees, shrubs and perennials, creating flower beds, sowing and turfing
    • Outdoor construction: wooden and stone terraces, corten steel edges, small masonry works, installation of outdoor lighting
    • Quality maintenance: soft pruning, hedge trimming, manual weeding, mulching, care of established plants
    • Light earthworks: land shaping, simple drainage, platform preparation
    • Reading plans: understanding a landscaping plan created by our landscape architect office and implementing it on site
  • You will be accompanied by experienced companions, on high-end residential sites and projects for developers. You will see beautiful gardens, noble materials, demanding techniques — and you will learn to execute them yourself.

What we are looking for in you

    • You are enrolled in trainingIFAPME garden entrepreneur, inCEFA, at theEFPor in an equivalent course (horticulture, landscaping)
    • You can do an internship ofat least 6 months— long-term apprenticeship contracts (up to 3 years) are our preference
    • You wake up in the morning eager to work outside, even when it rains
    • You are punctual, respectful of equipment, and you know to ask when you don't know
    • You have already got your hands in the soil — or you are ready to do so from day one
    • A driving licence B is a real plus (not essential at the beginning)
  • No need to have three years of prior experience. Motivation and attitude count as much as technical skills. The rest, we will teach you.

    What we offer you

    • Real practical training: you see a project from A to Z, from the plan to delivery to the client
    • Real support: a mentor accompanies you, we take the time to explain, we correct without humiliating
    • Variety: no two sites are the same, from small city gardens to large residential estates
    • A structured professional environment: quality equipment, PPE provided, well-maintained vehicles, rigorous organisation
    • A hiring perspective: if the internship goes well, we can discuss it again. Several team members are former interns
    • The territory: our sites are in Brabant Wallon and Brussels, often in stunning settings
  • What this internship is not

We prefer to say it upfront: this is not an internship where you observe. You work. You get your clothes dirty. You carry plants and materials. You finish tired in the first few weeks. It's normal — it's the job. If what you're looking for is an observer position or a purely administrative internship, this is not the right place.

    How to apply

Send us your CV and a few lines about your training and what made you want to learn this trade. No need for a polished cover letter — be sincere, we read everything.
